We got back from vacation Saturday afternoon. It was great! We spent the first half of the week with my family up at the resort near Fergus, then we flew out to Myrtle Beach, where we spent the rest of the week at Sunset Beach with Dave’s family. It was the first time I’d been to the Atlantic Ocean, and the first time I’d actually swum in an ocean (we just splashed around in the Pacific last summer). I only got a little burned, which is great for 3 full days out on the beach! Wednesday night we went to Barefoot Landing and got yummy salt water taffy, and Friday night we went to Broadway at the Beach and I got a bear! I’m sure Dave will put some pictures up of the vacation as soon as he gets around to it. Love you!

It was my birthday on June 24th. I had a great time with my Sarah and my family. On Thursday night, I went to dinner with Sarah and her friend Tracey (none of my friends could make it). Afterwards, we came back to my apartment, which Sarah decorated with streamers and balloons, and had cake that Sarah made. It was delicious (triple chocolate cake with triple chocolate frosting and cherries in the middle). On Friday, Sarah and I went for Bubble Tea in the afternoon, and in the evening, my family came up from Rochester. I got lots of presents including a new grill, picnicing supplies, a new CD clock radio, movies, and CD’s. We ate the rest of Sarah’s cake, and then they went home. It was the best birthday I think I’ve ever had!!! I can’t wait till next year. And what else does my Birthday signify? Half way till Christmas and only 3 days more until our wedding!!

While flipping through stations tonight, we stumbled on the Northwestern graduation. So we watched for a while, and I recorded the part where Sarah gets her diploma. You can hear her get her “su…magna cum laude” degree.

So I spent the weekend at home with my friends in order to go dress shopping. It was fun, and eventually I got used to random people dressing me… Anyway, we found lots of gorgeous dresses, and the shop we went to today has amazing in-store discounts. We found a dress that my friends said made me look like a “Fairy Snow Princess” which must be good since the date is December 28. They said I just needed a wand and I would look like Queen Frostine or whoever it is in Candy Land! (see picture below) It was all very fun having lots of people dressing me up and the owners (gay???) giving me accessories to try with it. So yay, dress. Too bad I can’t wear it for another 6 1/2 months!

There’s this really great song on the CD at work right now, that just kind of makes me…happy! It’s called “First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes. It’s really quiet and slow, and has some really great lyrics:

Just an FYI, I have traded jobs again. I start on Monday at American Eagle in Northtown Mall. It just wasn’t working out at Lucky Jeans (too much selling, not enough managing). I won’t be bored at my job, and I already know what I’m doing. Sarah is still working at Rosedale, but is considering transferring to MOA in June. We will both be American Eaglers!!

17 May 2005 Sarah’s all graduated!

Sarah graduated from college on Saturday, May 14th. She now has a Bachelor’s of Art in Psychology. She also moved into an apartment building that is two doors down in the same complex. So now we get to see each other lots. Yeah! Graduation went pretty quick, but my stupid camera wouldn’t go off when she was standing right next to me during the processional.
