Happy birthday a few days ago to Kristen! (In case anyone hasn’t read Juan’s webpage and taken polls about her middle name.)
I’ve had a very exciting weekend. (haha) Saturday I worked forever, but I got my first credit card in forever. The lady didn’t want our free All-Access Pass (rewards program…you get points, then you get a coupon for up to 40% off every 3 months based on the number of points you accumulate); however, when I suggested applying for the AE credit card and saving about $20, she said, “Sure, sounds good. How long does that take?” Since when do people want more credit cards, but decline free chances for coupons?? Oh well.
Yesterday we went out to Chili’s with David’s family and Chad for Kristen’s birthday. We got Kari a kids’ menu, which she passed on to Chad when he got there. At the Chili’s by us, they have a tendency to squash large groups into 6-person tables and use the 8-person booth for families consisting of mom, dad, and 1-2 small children. That seems quite logical to me. We put our empty cups on the window ledge so we had room for 2 orders of fajitas, in addition to 3 other meals! After dinner, we moved on to our townhome, the location du jour (or longer) for cake and presents since we’ve moved! Kristen should make us happy pretty cakes with her new cake-decorating skills (and supplies).
Today I met with the director of the El.Ed. program at UWRF. I would be able to start this fall and be done with courses next summer, then student teach Fall 2007! Then I would have my Master’s and also be certified to teach grades 1-8. (I want to teach middle school.) So yay, something other than simulating data and analyzing model fit. Cool. I could actually interact with people, not just computers. ![]()
Have a wonderful day everyone, and make sure to vote for my wonderful website-obsessed husband on the poll for Juan’s successor!!
