Sunday was Philip’s graduation from high school. I can’t believe my little brother’s that old! David and I helped out at the open house, first “serving meat” (putting the barbeque stuff into buns) and then playing with Rachel and Kristi.
Graduation was entertaining:
The MC forgot to wear his medallion, which is part of the uniform…cap, gown, and medallion. The first speaker was introduced as being head of the cheerleading team, and in her free time, she loves to wakeboard and shop!
(I could just imagine her being introduced on the Price is Right or something…”Here’s a girl who loves to shop, meet captain of the cheerleading squad, Brittney-Tiffany!” That, of course, being my generic name for ditzy girls, the full name being Brittney-Tiffany Cristal Tawni Hooker.)
She was bright. She had the class give each other high fives and do their class cheer one last time: Zero-Six, Zero-Six, ZeroZeroZeroZeroZero-Six! (Pep rallies were great my sophomore year. We had “Ninety-Nine,” “Zero-Zero,” and “Zero-One” !!)
When the school board guy made a joke about a “paradox” not being two doctors, she looked confused. I think that if you’re going to be on the screen so everyone can see you, don’t look stupid. Or talk to your little boyfriends during the other speeches!
So that’s about it for now.
Bye.
Bye.
